saving and resuming sessions

Post by vinny » Thu Oct 02, 2008 10:16 pm

i tried doing a search on google as well as the website but i have yet to find anything on this so i decided to make a new topic for it =)

it would be nice to be able to save and resume box sessions before closing sandboxie/shutting down the computer and starting sandboxie/botting up the computer, respectively.

what i want to use this for is to be able to play games and keep their lifespans within sandboxie so that when i finish playing the game, i can clear it off as if i never installed it!

If I understand you right you can achieve this by disabling the option Automatically delete contents of sandbox in the Delete -> Invocation section.

i think what he means is... run a program, work in it, shut down a specific sandbox and be able to resume it in the same state as you left it, with the open programm and the open work...

Only way I think that would be possible is to setup Sandboxie to use a ramdisk and just hibernate the computer when you are done with your session... but of course Sandboxie and the sandbox will still be running though... so I guess it isn't really possible... :P :?

hi, i've used sandboxie a little more and the feature i requested was already available indirectly.

i simply created new boxes for each new game and installed into that box and ran the games within those boxes and even though the boxes don't delete contents by default street011 had the right idea.

thanks for the replies, they're much appreciated! =)
