Configure Sandboxie for Outlook 2013? [SOLVED]

Now that Sandboxie has been improved to work with MS Office Click-And-Run, I want to run Outlook 2013 in its own sandbox. I'm sure some of you have done this, so I'm hoping for a how-to.

I've been using Sandboxie for a long time and (with help!) have Mozilla Firefox and some of its third-party extensions running in the default box, with storage of favorites and some other settings outside the sandbox so that they are not lost. I have also made a shortcut to run MS Internet Explorer in its own sandbox, though without those refinements as I rarely use it.

I'm sure Outlook is a comparable security hazard, even though I try to avoid using the Reading Pane and HTML, and for that I assume I will need to keep Outlook's .PST file, and probably some other settings, outside the sandbox. Can anybody explain how to do this? -- jclarkw

Thanks, Barb (and everyone at Invincia)! This works great. I installed Outlook 2013 in its own sandbox without difficulty.

My only problem (other than that my .pst file is nearly 2 GB and needs an increase in maximum file size) was that I forgot how to set up a shortcut in Windows 7 SP1 for this sandboxed version if Outlook. Eventually I figured it out; but if you don't already have a FAQ on that trick, you might consider creating one... -- jclarkw

Hello jclarkw,

Glad to hear things worked fine.

We do have instructions for creating Desktop icons, please have a look at this entry:
https://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?ConfigureMenu#shell
You can find it by clicking in the Help & FAQ link at the top of this page.

Regards,
Barb.-
