4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.7)
Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.5)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Sandboxie 4.13.5 Beta
Firefox: Latest Official Release Version
Today, I upgraded from 4.13.3 Beta to 4.13.5 Beta. I decided to check to see if there was a new version of Adobe Flash available. I normally check the Adobe Flash version by opening the Flash 32 bit under Windows 7 Control Panel and selecting to check for an update. Firefox would open Sandboxed (Force to Sandbox), but the Adobe version check page would load EXTREMELY Slow or freeze.
I ran Firefox un-sandboxed and this problem did not occur.
I reverted back to Sandboxie 4.13.3 Beta and this problem no longer exists.
Please check into this problem and correct it in a future release.
Thanks in Advance.

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.5)
The latest Google Chrome doesn't work in 4.13.4 so I upgraded to 4.13.5 this evening but I had all sorts of weird problems in Firefox. I believe these problems are due to flash because the browser would freeze whenever I loaded a page that contained flash and I allowed it to run. For example:
For now I have reverted to 4.13.4 and all my problems have disappeared except that unfortunately Google Chrome 38.0.2125.101 does not work with this version of Sandboxie. Can you please tell me if there is something I can add to my configuration file to get the latest chrome working with 4.13.4?
What changes did you make in 4.13.5? Can you give us technical information?
Also a suggestion for your version scheme, how about just bumping the version number rather than call 4.13.5 alpha or 4.13.5 beta that's just more confusing. How would I know if I installed 4.13.5 alpha? If you make changes to 4.13.5 after it's available for download then just release 4.13.6 or 4.13.5.1 or something, reviewing the comments in this thread it's confusing what's what. Thanks

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.5)
cornflake@: For me FF freezes on flash content on all Sandboxie versions from 4.13.3 beta to 4.13.5 beta http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 89#p103789. I didn't test older SB versions. In this case it doesn't matter if dropped rights are enabled or not. Browser freezes for a few seconds even if flash player is not installed. Outside Sandboxie and without flash the issue is not noticeable.
Using sandboxie 4.13.5 beta Chrome x64 37.0.2062.124 m and 38.0.2125.101 crashes same way with dropped rights on Win7.

In the interest of feedback regarding Chrome browser... upgrading to 38.0.2125.101 did not go well with 4.13.4 installed.
All I got in pages opened with Sandboxie were "Page(s) Unresponsive" dialogs.
Upgrading to 4.13.5 made it all better.
TY for addressing the incompatibilities in 38.

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.5)
Chrome 38 support begins in 4.13.5. Chrome will not load a page at all in 4.13.4. The changes in 4.13.5 only affect Chrome. It is highly unlikely that it affected Flash in any way.
Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.5)
Sorry Curt, but there is a problem with Flash and Firefox using Sandboxie 4.13.5, reverting back to Sandboxie 4.13.4 fixes it.
I also tried it in a VM with default settings, and just like on my Host PC, Flash is causing Firefox to freeze, and looking in Taskmgr the Flash process comes and goes.
Versions used on Host and VM:
Windows 8 (x64)
Flash Player 15.0.0.152
Firefox 32.0.3

Chrome 38.0.2125.101 64-bit final will not load pages for me on Windows 8.1.1 x64 with 4.13.5. Runs fine on Windows 7 x64.Curt@invincea wrote:Chrome 38 support begins in 4.13.5. So can you tell us what changes you made? You seem kinda close guarded Curt! We are mostly technical users we thrive on this. Anyway, I was able to reproduce in a clean Windows 7 x64 VM.Curt@invincea wrote:Chrome 38 support begins in 4.13.5. Chrome will not load a page at all in 4.13.4. - Install SandboxieInstall64-413-5.exe
Install Firefox Setup 32.0.3.exe, choose make default web browser
Install install_flash_player.exe (15.0.0.152)
Click on the 'Sandboxed Web Browser' shortcut on the desktop

So how do you explain that Firefox 33 is completely messed up by Flash in .5?Curt@invincea wrote:... It is highly unlikely that it affected Flash in any way.

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.5)
Hi all,
Google Chrome 38.0.2125.101 (64-bit) running on Windows 8.1.2 (Update 2) 64 bit will only open the initial Chrome start page, but clicking on a bookmark or anything else does nothing.
In the Sandboxie window, only one process of chrome.exe is running, not the usual 4 or 5 on start up.
Any ideas?
I am using the 4.13.5 beta.
Have tried both drop rights ticked & unticked, no difference

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.6)
Beta 4.13.6 has been released with several Chrome fixes. I do not know if this fixes the dropped rights problem, as we are still unable to reproduce this.
Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.6)
Flash freezes using FF 32.0.3 on 4.13.6 like it did on .5. If you guys don't have issues with Chrome 38.0.2125.101 (64-bit) with dropped rights unticked then I don't recommend upgrade to .6.
edit: Snadboxie .5 and .6 is unable to detect FF downloads

Confirmed here too, but with FF33 which (still) crashes completely when Flash player starts.Dun wrote:Flash freezes using FF 32.0.3 on 4.13.6 like it did on .5. If you guys don't have issues with Chrome 38.0.2125.101 (64-bit) with dropped rights unticked then I don't recommend upgrade to .6.
Back to .4 <fx:sigh>. Have you guys given up on FF for the almighty Chrome?

This is getting to be a really tough crowd.

Not all of that crowd Curt, I've have experienced nothing bad neither Chrome nor FireFox, latest stable versions.Curt@invincea wrote:This is getting to be a really tough crowd.
