programmes and bookmarks

Post by Unknown_User_598 » Sat Jan 13, 2007 6:25 pm

i am using firefox, i saved so many bookmarks and now it will not allow me to save anymore and all my bookmarks dissapeared from the bookmarks menu, i could only find them through exploring the contents of sandbox, any idea how i can continue to save bookmarks?
also when installing programmes (like antivirus but also others) when you get the option (if you get an option) of where to save the files should i choose to save it in the "harddiskvolume1....." and will this automatically open sandboxed, or do you have to select "run sandboxed...any program..."?
all the programme files automatically save into sandbox, when the setup is run from sandbox, however does the programme still need to be run through the "run sandbox" or does it still save changes to sandbox since the programme files are there? or does it have access to the harddrive since it is not selected under the "run sandboxed...any program..."
what should i do because some programmes will not run sandboxed? so i am asking if i was to save the programme files to the "harddiskvolume1..." would this mean it would be sandboxed even if it was not selected under the "run sandboxed"
i understand if it is sandoxed it has the # signs
so is there a way i can get programmes to always and automatically be sandboxed? and will some programmes not be able to be sandboxed?
thanyou for your help

For getting stuff out of the sandbox:

Better to save stuff into My Documents, and then use Quick Recover to move it outside.

I find this to be the easiest approach, but other people may have other ideas, of course.

As for Firefox bookmarks, there is a post dealing with this, in the Feature Requests forum.
