Control.exe is run in the user's context. SbieSvc.exe is run in the context of the NT\AUTHORITY system. ALLUSERPROFILE and SystemDrive are defined in both contexts. But none of the user's own environment variables are defined in NT\AUTHORITY. That explains why you succeeded and why I didn't.wraithdu wrote:That's strange, I tested Sandboxie with the %SystemDrive% and %ALLUSERSPROFILE% tokens which are evironment variables only (not Shell Folders) and it worked fine.
If you open a cmd.exe prompt and just type 'set' do you see your %RootDrv% variable and expansion? If so, then you might want to post this in the Sandboxie problems forum and wait for an answer from tzuk.
Hi
I tested some Software in it.
I install
Panorama Factory
Deep Paint
Painter
Paint Shop
and some other programs in it.
Nothing is installed correctly in the Sandbox. I got errors with all softwares. So for what should I use this Sandboxie??? I thought it is for testing Software? When not, sorry!!!
Now I ordered a hardware Protection called PC-Wächter. This is the same as Juzt-Reboot. With this I can install Software and use it and after a restart of my computer nothing is left on my pc. WoW this is wonderful!!!
Maybe Sandboxie could use the same technology in a software mode?!?!?!

I'm not sure, I don't get any errors.
Have you tried running the crashcleanup utility just to make sure everything's gone? I didn't change anything in the launcher relating to driver/service installation/startup.
Can you link a screenshot of your app directory showing all the Sandboxie files? I want to be sure you have everything there.

The crash cleanup runs after it has failed to run, but
the link to the apps directory is http://www.uploadgeek.com/uploads456/1/ ... 20list.jpg
I think it may be a problem with KmdUtil.exe as i just notice that was the header for my last error... Ill have a go with it from an older version of sandboxie.
Im missing my portable sandboxie

Just checked the files in the install file for sandboxie and SbieDllx.dll id the name of the file there... But did a rename of it and still same problem
If i reboot my system then run again i get a different message... "SbieDrv not correctly uninstalled - Reboot your system" and then if i dont reboot i get this http://www.uploadgeek.com/uploads456/2/SbieDrv.jpg
I seem to have lost my earlier version of sandboxie portable.. where can i get a copy so i can go back to a working copy? (ive tried this on 3 computers 2 of which have never had sandboxie on ever).
Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp!! (please)

Thanks for you help

I have no idea. I can say with 100% certainty though that it was not the fault of my launcher. The launcher does not rename or move any of the Sandboxie program files.Spacemonkey wrote:Any ideas what happened? Just in case it happens again.
I use the portable version on my USB stick and at home, and I've used every version tzuk has released. Never has a distribution from him had a file named SbieDllX.dll (at least not since I came around, sometime in the v2.94 series), and I've never experienced your issue.
However I'm glad you got it all straightened out!
