Sandboxie-5.10 + saving files to folders w/mounted devices

Post by unisol » Wed Mar 09, 2016 8:21 am

I have the following setup:
C:\ - "real hdd" drive

There are several NTFS volumes mounted into paths like
C:\HDD1\1
(disk administration "use empty ntfs folder" to mount the drive)
There is a symlink (not junction) C:\worktmp pointing to C:\HDD1\1\worktmp

Saving to such locations (that are located on mounted volumes) has stopped working in 5.10 (worked in 5.08), doesn't matter if I allow "direct access" to such locations or not (so it used to save to sandboxie temporary folder) - the error is "file not found, please check ... and try again" when I try to save from MSIE and the like in other apps (Steam - "write error", far manager - "file not found")

Sometimes I don't see folder contents in explorer save dialogs either - F5 and I see it OK.

The OS is Win7 x64. Didn't test on Win10.
The boot drive

Another weird thing is in MSIE file upload dialog I often see several folders from my C:\ drive inside every directory located below floder-mounted volume.
That are "Program Files (x86)", "Windows" and sometimes other random folders from C:\. If I click on them - they can't be opened and Windows says they refer to unreachable location, "please check if the drive is inserted and connected or you're connected to the network". This issue has been present for over a year but it didn't cause any harm or usability problems other than visual "effects".

There isn't any changes from 5.08 to 5.10 that would affect that.

Office 2013 in Windows 10 is working under Sandboxie again.
F12 Developer Tools now works in IE-11.
In rare instances, SandboxieRpcSs.exe or SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe would not end when all other applications had exited.
A file named c:\program.exe no longer prevents SandboxieRpcSs.exe from starting.
The known conflicts list in templates.ini has been updated.
Fixed wrong Windows version # reported for Windows 8.1 (e.g. with http://whatsmyuseragent.com/). Windows 8.1 was reported as Windows 8.0.
Windows 10 fast ring build 14251 "IsHungAppWindow" hook issue.
Fixed rare Chrome 64 error SBIE2303 Could not hook VerifyCatalogFile
