Beta version

Hi, just wondered if the Beta version is solely geared for Windows 8 and/or does it contain improvements for Windows 7

No. See the Beta Version 3.81 section of the forum.
A heading like [.04] means that a problem was addressed by version 3.81.04, and these items are not (typically) related to Win 8.
