Win1064Prof Sandboxie 5.04 hrom latest 45.0.2454.101 m

Never had this problem under Windows 8.1 and Sandboxie. (like http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=21708)
Barring any anti-virus conflicts, I'd recommend removing and reinstalling Chrome. I haven't seen any issues with it crashing (the newest update) with SBIE at this time.

Craig@Invincea wrote:In testing, Chrome is my go-to browser. I haven't seen any crashing related to SBIE (and seldom outside of SBIE). I know that Chrome can be a pain at times, but nothing recently directly related to sBIE. I do have a few plug ins installed, but nothing major.

This is for all versions of Windows for which I test, XP-10 (32 & 64)

But if you have crash info (dump files, error messages) etc, please post them.
Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'll pm the Chrome error logs if you don't mind as I'm not sure what if any personal info they might contain. There are no windows dumps etc I can see.

The Chrome crash code is BEX64 for those interested. I've seen others have issues with that before so will check drivers for updates. Will also try to disable hardware acceleration and post back if any of that works for others who may have the issue.

Cheers
Chris

Yes for the download problem it worked. but the Crashes when starting chrome are still there, on both machines (Win1032 and Win1064 with latest SB and Latest Chrome) Crashes 1/10 Times with 224(?) Error.

Here are my crash logs:
https://robustfiles.com/dl.php?key=/EX2 ... e.8408.dmp
https://robustfiles.com/dl.php?key=/IFi ... .10892.dmp

I don't care if there's any identifying info there, just FYI.

Crashing also happens with "real" Chrome, not just portable Chrome. I'm using the 64-bit version of Chrome, in case that matters.

Yes, that matters a lot. What is your OS? Win 10? If You're using 10, what build? (there is a big problem with Chrome 64 and Windows Fast Ring builds)

Nothing in the dmp files I can see directly relates to SBIE. How well does Chrome work not sandboxed?

If you're using Chrome 64 and Win 10, you may want to try this as it may be worth a shot http://www.windowscentral.com/google-wo ... windows-10

I'm using the latest version of Windows 10 Pro N. I have a legit copy, and I made an upgrade from Windows 7, not a clean install.

Chrome has never ever crashed for me outside Sandboxie. Ever.

I'll try that, and see if it helps. I doubt it though, as Waterfox has the exact same issue. Are there any logging features in Sandboxie I can enable to help you figure out what's wrong? If so, send me a message and I'll give you all the logs you need.

I'll try that, and see if it helps. I doubt it though, as Waterfox has the exact same issue. Are there any logging features in Sandboxie I can enable to help you figure out what's wrong? If so, send me a message and I'll give you all the logs you need.
You can use procmon and post the results to us. SBIE will also create a dump file as well
Procmon: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/lib ... 96645.aspx (free.)

Run Procom (not sandboxed) and then try and fire up Chrome (sandboxed of course). Let chrome crash and not load. Stop capturing events in Procmon (under file) and then Save the results (under file, make sure "save all events it ticked") and save in PML format. These files can be large, so post somewhere we can download and look.

I don't care if there's any identifying info there, just FYI.

Crashing also happens with "real" Chrome, not just portable Chrome. I'm using the 64-bit version of Chrome, in case that matters.
Are you running any Anti-virus? Any similar addons/extensions being used by Chrome and Waterfox?

The only AV I'm using is Windows Defender that comes with Windows 10.

The crashing happens even in SRWare Iron, Advanced Chrome and Portable Chrome without any extensions. So I think it's safe to say, that's not the issue.

Here you go. A log created when chrome.exe crashed on me.

I have looked at these crashes. I cannot tell what is causing them. This will require more investigation.

Some thoughts:

Does Advanced Chrome directly support Win 10? I don't see that on the authors page http://browser.taokaizen.com/
SRW Iron ..Same.. Last stable release was May 2015.
For portable Chrome, do you have the latest version? http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/g ... e_portable

Also, we have never encountered these 2 crashes before. So, there is something unusual on your machine. Craig is going to try KeyCrypt to see if we have any issues there. You may want to try uninstalling it to see if that is the problem.
