is there any way to simply do a quick run of a program in sandboxie and then disable sandboxie fully? i'd like to test out a program under sandboxie, then disable all traces of sandboxie from my system without fully uninstalling it.
(and yes i know about all the benefits of full time auto sandboxing, etc etc!)
the way it is now, even if i exit the sandboxie control and disable the service, when i double-click on a file with an unknown extension, i get the "Run Sandboxed?" popup. (edit: i found that i can disable that popup by disabling the actions under windows shell integration, but i'd rather have a way of completely disabling sandboxie until i need it.)
thanks....
temporary/single use of sandboxie
Not really.
As you've found:
Uncheck all items in: Sandboxie Control > Configure > Windows Shell Integration > OK
Exit Sandboxie Control.
Stop the service and set it to Manual start.
The Start Menu items are still there of course, as well as the Add or Remove Programs entry.
