4.01.08 - GUIPROXY_00000001

Post by nicknomo » Wed May 22, 2013 4:39 pm

Running W7 x64 with beta 4.01.08.

I occasionally get the message:

SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: *GUIPROXY_00000001 - chrome.exe [00000102]

It appears to result in a temporary unresponsiveness with the browser. It does not last long though.

I get this message too, very rarely. Maybe once every couple of weeks. I don't know yet how to trigger it intentionally.

[.013] There's an error when opening madVR settings

Post by Julian » Sun May 26, 2013 7:46 am

Win 7 x64, 4.01.10

When I try to open madVR's settings dialog via MPC HC active filters (rightclick at video picture), I always get this error at the first time:

Code: Select all

SBIE2203 Fehler bei der Kommunikation mit dem Sandboxie-Dienst: *GUIPROXY_00000001 - madHcCtrl.exe [00000102]
This doesn't happen when I open the settings via madVR's tray icon.

I just wrote in another topic that I was looking for a way to reliably trigger this error message. So if this is a response to that post -- thanks! :)
I'll take a look at this.

I am sorry, I can't figure this out. I installed MPC HC, then unpacked the zip file and ran the installer batch. Then I right click on the video picture and I just get a pop up menu with no mention of madVR anywhere. Can you explain how to reproduce the problem?

You need to:
MPC HC > View > Options > Output > DirectShow video
select madVR and click OK.

If you have done that and no luck, then we need to wait what OP says.

Turns out I installed the 64-bit edition of MPC HC which is incompatible with madVR.

Switched to 32-bit MPC HC, but still don't see any problem when I right click on the MPC HC main window.

Odd, I just could reproduce it this very moment.
Did you click the "Edit settings" button of madVR?
If you have first entered madVR settings via tray icon you might need to delete sandbox content in order to reproduce the error when opening the settings via MPC HC filters.

Edit: Btw. you have to play a video file meanwhile to make madVR appear in the filters list.

The missing piece of information was to click on Filters in right-click menu, then select madVR. In the future please keep in mind that I am not always familiar with software you use and if you tell me a list of exact steps to follow then it can save me some time.

Should be fixed in version 4.01.13.
