missing [x] sign

Post by AnalogueMan » Mon May 19, 2014 6:44 am

Hello,
When I am running Firefox sandboxed I now notice only the yellow border around the edges of
the browser window when moving the cursor toward the top of the web browser.
But I am now missing that [x] sign in the title bar on the top.
Is that correct?
My O.S. is windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.

Uncheck the setting at the very bottom of Sandbox Settings > Appearance

Not as far as I'm concerned. Do you have the Minimize and Maximize buttons, but not the red X Close Button?
Open the Firefox "Customize" feature and see what happens if you click the "Title Bar" button at the bottom left of the window.

That's it!! After clicking on the Title Bar, that Firefox icon appeared again and now that [x] sign is displayed also.
Thank you very much Guest10. :D :D

I have Win 7 Home Premium 64bit and Firefox 36.0.1 Lately,I cannot get Sandboxie to display a red border around the browser, although I have managed to get a " # " showing around the title bar,so I know Sandboxie is running.I have three other browsers on my desktop, and when I launch them sandboxed, they all display a red border. As a test,I have saved photos I find through Google Images, and Sandboxie pops up a window offering immediate recovery of the file,so I know Sandboxie is running. Please advise, thanks!

Hi Newbeak, first off you could start troubleshooting by checking the settings to be alike in the next pic:

okay, now if you use separate sandboxes and one of them is dedicated to Firefox you might try deleting contents. If not then try "Remove Sandbox" and re-create it (remember you will need to set it up again because all settings will be gone).

Newbeak, you could also for testing, create a new Firefox profile and before changing or adding anything, run Firefox sandboxed to see if the red border shows up.

Well,I created a new sandbox called "Firefox",and when I open FF in this new sandbox, the colored border is back! I have used the default sandbox for all my applications since I started using Sandboxie years ago. Thanks for you suggestion! :D

Anytime, I'm glad it worked again. In my particular case, I always want that colored border to be visible.
