Unable to stream video from npo.nl website

Configuration: Windows 10 [x64] with all updates,Eset Internet Security 10.1.219 [x64],Malwarebytes 3.22, Firefox 55.0.2 [x64 & x86] with flash & widevine installed.
After reinstall PC and configuring everything works except a small problem with Firefox / Sandboxie.


Browser works and all sites open fine when NOT running in sandboxie. When Firefox runs in Sandboxie I only have a problem with my local (dutch) TV site; site loads fine but does NOT play the video signal. In defaultbox all programs can access internet.

Are there any other files,other than license check from Sandboxie that need internet access...? How do I get my local TV site to work again in FF?

What's your Sandboxie version?
Can you please provide a link to the website so that I can test it?
Does the issue happen in a new sandbox with default settings?

Sandboxie 5.20 64 bit.

Yes,tried it with fresh sandbox; same result. Btw chrome has the same issue when it's sandboxed in its own fresh sandbox.

MERGED INFO FROM DUPLICATE POST:
Firefox 5.5.3.0 and latest Chrome. The issue happens with Firefox (also with a standard created sandbox) and Google Chrome. Also no difference with or without addons/extensions.

I have the same configuration as AndaW (without Eset and widevine) and firefox 55 doesn't work for me in sandboxie 5.20. I tried the 5.21 beta but no success.

I get a blank screen, no page loading. I didn't encounter the problem wit FF 54. Chrome, Opera, Pale Moon and Icedragon all work flawlessly.

Can you provide another website presenting the same issue?
Or, can you provide the involved video codecs?

If your problem is not related to video streaming, please see:
Firefox installed inside Sandboxie:

Firefox installed outside Sandboxie:
Try a new sandbox with default settings, if that works, delete the contents of your previous Sandbox and re-try Firefox.
If the problem persists, please start a new thread providing this info:

Im sorry,but I can't help with the broadcasting outside the Netherlands. Don't have other problems with video
like youtube, vimeo etc. Maybe I can provide the video codec(s) info that are involved but how do I collect it?
Any help is appreciated..

You can try right-clicking on the video to see its properties/inspect it.

What is the exact error message that you get?
Do other browsers work?

FWIW, I tested the Dutch site, I also get redirected to the link above. Video plays fine for me in W10 64 bits using Firefox 32 bits.

"Due to broadcasting rights, it is not possible to view this broadcast outside of the Netherlands and Belgium.

UPDATE:
I used a VPN that offers the Netherlands as a free location, with a 2gig limitation. I was not able to play the video inside Firefox x64 Sandboxed, no errors, it just wouldn't play (it did play outside of it).
I made the devs aware.

Chrome Sandboxed worked just fine. Make sure you have the latest version, and to delete its cache.

Do other browsers work? (Like Internet Explorer).

Are there any other videos that you can test from that same website? Please test them both outside and inside Sandboxie (new sandbox with default settings).

The exact message I get is:
'Firefox is installing components needed to play the audio or video on this page. Please try again later' but nothing
happens and there is no [x] to click away the message nor it will vanish as it never completes.

In the non-sandboxed FF on npo/live site I can't find anything on video codecs... just html5. Internet explorer with
npo/live in and outside fresh sandbox still nothing. It was never configured so I used it out of the box. It opens all
sites fine but npo/live does not work.

Other videos (not live and without sandbox) can be played fine in FF/Chrome.

On The BVN site I could view a live program in FF [no sb].
