I use Internet Explorer and if I leave the auto-delete function of Sandboxie unchecked, all of the temporary internet files from that session remain in the sandbox after I close Internet Explorer. This of course is the intended and expected effect. (I could mention that the files remain in the sandbox even though I have checked 'Empty Temp Folder when browser is closed' on the advanced tab in IE Properties. Unsandboxed, the files get deleted). That is IMO more of a glitch than a bug.
But this bug is differant in that "something" has in fact been deleted and results in a zero file being left in the sandbox. Ok we'll let the computer minds think on this one a bit. lol
mitch
My money is on Sandboxie not recognizing VB instructions within applications, but that is too headache prone for me to think about. lol
/Box: parameter extensions
Good timing, I just added that feature a few days ago, because I'm getting rid of the concept of a "current" sandbox. The /Box: parameter can be used to specify which box to use to start a program. That's fine, but I would like an option to select the box interactively from a simple list or a popup menu. I suggest the argument "/Box:?" to specify that the box name should be entered interactively.
The temp files issue: This behavior is by design. When sandboxed programs delete files, Sandboxie marks files in a special way rather than physically delete it. While that's probably not going to change, it may be a good idea to add at some later point, a utility or function to "clean up" the sandbox and get rid of these.

Thanks also for the edit! I've finally read it!
BTW, the latest version of SandboxToys has a function to delete all "fake empty files" created by Sandboxie in a box, but ONLY if there is no equivalent file in the corresponding directory outside of the box. It's a solution, but I would like to see, one day, this function integrated into Sandboxie itself. I wrote SandboxToys as a template of what I wish, not as a replacement for Sandboxie's missing features!
