Hi Everyone,
For the time being, I need to uninstall Sandboxie and remove all traces of the program from my wife’s PC.
However after uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller I have discovered a leftover Sandbox folder in the main directory of the C: drive.
Questions:
Is it safe to delete this folder and all of its contents?
Are there any other leftover remnants in other locations that can also be safely deleted?
Thanks for any feedback,
Organdude

Assuming that you mean C:\Sandbox, then yes - delete the folder if Sandboxie has been uninstalled.
I assume that the C:\Program Files\Sandboxie folder is gone.
The 'sandboxie.ini' file should also be gone, from the Windows folder.

Thanks for your reply Guest10!
Yes, the correct location for the folder that I was asking about is: C:\Sandbox
The other file by the way was not removed after uninstalling, but I will delete it as well: C:\Program Files\Sandboxie
Are there any other leftover bits and pieces: regsitry, context menu, etc.?
I'm troubleshooting some problems right now and I'm hoping that a clean uninstall of Sanboxie will help eliminate it from the list of possible suspects.
Any further input or suggestions would always be appreciated!

It doesn't sound like a complete uninstall, if the Program Files folder wasn't deleted.
I would use Windows Explorer, to make a couple of tests:
1) Right-click a file, and see if the "Run Sandboxed" entry is gone from the Windows Explorer's context menu
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\sandbox
2) Do the same thing with a folder, to see that there is no "Run Sandboxed" entry there, as well.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\sandbox
From HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
"SandboxieControl" REG_SZ "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\SbieCtrl.exe"
should be gone.
This doesn't mean that there aren't still numerous items scattered through-out the Registry, concerning Sandboxie. After all, Windows is notorious for caching information in the Registry, and failing to ever delete it. I can't think of anything else that needs to be removed.

Thanks again Guest10 for your response.
A clean removal tool is something the developers should look into; apparently others are experiencing similar issues:

Don’t get me wrong here, I think that Sandboxie is an excellent utility and I’ve used it on my own system without ever having a problem, however a clean uninstall tool would be a nice touch that would only enhance the image and credibility of the program. (Look at the banner at the top of the Sanboxie website: "Sandboxie / Trust No Program". What about trusting Sandboxie to make a clean departure when called upon?)
Hey, using Sandboxie is supposed to keep your system clean, so why should it be a challenge to clean your system of Sandboxie?
