Maxthon freeze-when-closing possible cause.

Hello,

I have been experiencing an issue where Maxthon freezes upon exit in a Sandboxie sandboxed Maxthon, when the "Clean Addresses" option (in Maxthon) is used.

I have searched the forum and found some posts where some users are experiencing an issue of similar description - the most recent I found was here: http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=8436

I am not sure if this has yet been resolved, or if the cause is known.


Reproduction
The way I seem to reproduce this freeze is with the following sandboxed Maxthon functions/options:

"Clean Addresses"
Location: [Menubar] Tools->Clean system->Clean Addresses

"Clean All"
Location: [Menubar] Tools->Clean system->Clean All
Execution: Start Maxthon with Sandboxie, then select either of the two above-described functions.


"Clean address when closing" option
Location: [Menubar] Options->Maxthon Options->[Side Tab] General->[Tab]When Closing
Execution: Enable the above-described option, then attempt to close Maxthon.


There are a number of "cleaning" functions in Maxthon at "[Menubar] Tools->Clean system", and in my testing I have isolated the "Clean Addresses" function produces the freeze; the other functions do not seem to cause a freeze with a sandboxed Maxthon.


Temporary workaround:
-Keep "Clean Addresses" when closing option unchecked.
-Do not use "Clean addresses" or "Clean All" functions.

Sandboxie: v3.00
Maxthon: v1.5.8.116
OS: XP Pro SP2

Great find guest! I never would have thought that this was causing the problem, I had expected it was some plugin, but luckily the problem was less complex. I haven´t upgraded to v3 yet, because I see a lot of people are having problems, but so far I haven´t seen any big problems on my virtual machine.
