Firefox update 32.0.3 error
Hi!
I have Windows 7 x64 and paid Sandboxie 4.12.
I've just updated Fireofx from 32.0.2 to 32.0.3 (outside of the sandbox, as always). I have FF forced and when I try to start it sandboxed (forced) now I get this error: "Could not find the Mozilla runtime." and FF doesn't start at all.
It works fine outside of the sandbox AND if I right-click on the Firefox icon and click on Run sandboxed. But forced - not anymore.
Any ideas?

Same error here.
Runs outside the sandbox perfectly!
Update: Restarting Windows and Firefox works again in the Sandbox without error.

Yes, today (I had the computer turned off at night) it works normally again. Still, I wonder what caused this anomaly.
Re: Firefox update 32.0.3 error
I just installed Firefox 32.0.3 and while it worked initially, I now have the same problem. I tried rebooting to no avail and also installing the latest beta. Firefox works fine outside of the sandbox. Sandboxie shows firefox.exe in the sandbox (but without the Firefox icon) but the Firefox window doesn't appear. At one point Firefox *did* start working after a very long delay, but when I shut down Firefox and attempted to restart it I had the problem again.
Update: Forefox does open eventually -- after maybe 15 minutes? I haven't timed it. Also, it seemed to freeze last time.

Josh, if the error that you are getting is the "Could not find the Mozilla runtime" error, you might like to try the solution at the end of this page.

Make it Windows ME compatible? First time I ever saw that suggestion.Chosen Solution
The fix for this is strange. You need to go to the desk top Icon select properties. The select the compatibility tab and check the run in this compatibility mode and then in the drop down select windows 98 / windows ME.
Re: Firefox update 32.0.3 error
This has been happening for me for a long time even during the previous owner's tenure.Bellzemos wrote:Yes, today (I had the computer turned off at night) it works normally again. Still, I wonder what caused this anomaly.
I think that's because my FF installer file is located within my forced folder and restarting my PC after the FF update always solves the "problem".

Thanks, Bo. I'm not getting that error, though, and Firefox runs fine outside of the sandbox.bo.elam wrote:Josh, if the error that you are getting is the "Could not find the Mozilla runtime" error, you might like to try the solution at the end of this page.

Re: Firefox update 32.0.3 error
josh358, I am not sure what your issue is but this are possible solutions: 1. Delete the sandbox if you dont have it done automatically when Firefox closes, 2. Create a new sandbox and run Firefox in it. Perhaps a setting in the sandbox where you are running Firefox is messed up, 3. Disable Flash Protected mode, 4. Your antivirus. Some antiviruses cause delays when opening and closing sandboxes. I dont use an antivirus but when I did, I remember some really caused long delays. Good luck.

1. Put Firewall in Learning Mode (Do NOT browse, as FW protection is Disabled!)/reboot.
2. Open/close IE11/FF (permanent rules are created!). Now open/close them again for new AV rules to be Trusted...
3. Open/close IE11/FF in sandboxie (more permanent rules). Now open/close them again for AV rules to be Trusted...
4. Now open/close your other applications (Twice!), that use the internet- CCleaner, Macrium Reflect, DVD copy, Anti-logger free, ...
4a. Put your FW back in Automatic/Interactive Mode/Reboot, and you are good to go.
Win 7 Pro (x86), ESET Smart Security 7 AV, Zemana Anti-Logger free, and no other active anti-malware.

Re: Firefox update 32.0.3 error
Thanks --here's the weird thing. I went to try some of your suggestions, and Firefox was loading normally. That was a few days ago, and it still is. So the problem seems to have resolved itself, just as it did for the posters above. It just took a few days in my case.bo.elam wrote:josh358, I am not sure what your issue is but this are possible solutions: 1.
