Will running steam in a sandbox and then running a VAC protected game trigger a VAC ban? I'm tempted to buy a game on a secondary account just to test the idea.

Mainly because Steam support is stuckup and refuses to provide any information if it would or not even thought sandboxie is not a cheat I still think it falls under the category of dll, exe modification since that is a broad range of almost everything, and sandboxie does load/inject(not sure) 2 dll's so far that I have seen into applications.

Any input on this? (From anybody?)

I have not heard any reports that Sandboxie causes bans on Steam. There were several problem reports regarding Steam and looking into these I had to install/reinstall some demos several times and did not receive a ban. However having said all that, this is no guarantee that you won't be banned, so use at your own risk.
