SBIE9234 Service startup error level 9153 status=C0000428 error=-1073740760
I went back to 2 clients and tried to update from 5.23.5 to 5.23.6
In each case the SBIE service would not start, reinstalled 5.23.5 and SBIE service started
Any ideas
Bill

Hello Rivanni and BillBarret,

If you are using Secure Boot, you need to download beta 5.23.5

I'm not sure what you mean secure boot, these are just 2 windows 10 HP laptops right now
They boot not different than any other, both BTW are licensed copies

If you are using Secure Boot, you need to download beta 5.23.5

I tried to start the SBIE service and windows 10 will not allow it.
I've emailed over 200 clients informed them to update, this is going to be a horror show

Hello BilleBarret,

What is the exact error you receive when using beta 5.23.5?
Try removing Sandboxie, rebooting the machine and re-installing beta 5.23.5

Barb.-

Bookmark buddy will not open new links in new tabs every since 5.23. It will open one page after that will not open link in browser (Pale Moon). Uninstalled SBIE and works as should.
Cant go back to 5.21 after MS (spectra, meltdown) update.

Win7 64

Hello Boxed In,

Did this ever work for you? I get a DDE error :
SBIE2205 Service not implemented: DDE 000003E6
Same as reported long time ago: viewtopic.php?p=91653#p91653

As a workaround, hide the error by clicking on "Hide", then re-try opening a bookmark (it may take several clicks before it finally opens). After that, all other bookmarks should come up as well.

I will make the devs aware, but not sure there is much they can do about this one since it is DDE related. I will update this thread if anything new comes up.

Regards,
Barb.-

Hello DS78 ,

As explained in the first post, if you are using Secure Boot you will need to install beta 5.23.5
5.23.6 is not signed for secure boot yet.

Barb.-

I know that I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I was looking at the Sandboxie container when I invoked Google Chrome & Internet explorer
I notice that the google default cache was still in my profile C:\Users\BilleBarrett\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache
and that the cache was filling up as I used Chrome and yes it did get delete when I close the Sandbox
I was under the impression that this cache like my internet explorer cache would be in the secure container.
D:\Sandbox\BilleBarrett\DefaultBox\user\current\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\
Am I understand that wrong.
Thanks
Bill

Hello BilleBarrett,

This is not a beta related issue/question.

Please see these browser tips (they are for Firefox, but also apply to Chrome):
https://www.sandboxie.com/FirefoxTips
This should help you understand how to set up your browsers and what kind of templates may allow them to directly save to your hard drive.

For more info regarding Chrome and how its sessions work, please see:

5.23.7 has been uploaded.
It is the same build as 5.23.6, but with Secure Boot support (thus, you should not receive any driver signature issues) .

Barb.-

I can confirm, no issue installing 5.23.7 in W10 1709 16299.251 with Secure boot enabled.

Good results also with this beta in W7 32 bis.
