Beta 5.23.2 has been released.

The Sbie source code had a major overhaul to build under Visual Studio 2015. We need beta testers to give it a thorough workout.

This breaks compatibility with Windows XP. So, 5.22 will be the last Sbie version that supports XP.

Beta 5.23.2 is looking good. Feels very very good, Curt (W10 64 bits 1709 16299.125). No issue whatsoever or messages. I ll install it in my W7 later today.

First thank you for the new update.

Second, something has changed in windows10 or Chrome, in sandboxed Chrome, I can no longer view passwords in "Settings/advanced Settings/Manage Passwords" when I try I get an invisible "window" I have to close by force, I suspect it's the app issue known from the Edgebrowser, as Chrome use windows login/password to let you access/view passwords, and that requester seems to be using the new app-appearance.

Sorry for the bad english, hope you manage to understand the problem.

Wish the forum a Merry Christmas.

Hello PALDK,

On win 10x64 FCU, I was able to get the pop up, enter my password and see the saved passwords.
What are the repro steps?
Try a new Sandbox with default settings and see if the problem follows you there.
Does it work outside Sandboxie? Maybe is there a popup blocker involved?

If the problem persists, provide this info:

Hi Barb.-
Thank you for answering.
The popup works fine without sandbox, but I'll try with default settings after the holidays, and see if that fix it.
I'll get back to you with the result.

Have a great Holiday.

Hi Barb.-
Now I tried a fresh install, no custom settings, only as Sandboxie comes out of the box, and still no luck, I can't figure what it can be, other than Windows 10 or Chrome that has changed something, because the problem also exists with SB v5.22 and with that version it used to work without any problems.

I wish I could tell you how to make it happen, I can't, all I have to do, install Sandboxie (Clean install no .ini from old install), start Chrome sandboxed, and I get the problem, never been a problem before.

Win10 - Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299
SB - 5.22 and 523.x
Chrome - Version 63.0.3239.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chrome - Version 63.0.3239.108 (Official Build) (32-bit)
Antivirus - Windows Defender and Malwarebytes(Premium)

I'll just start Chrome without sandbox when I need to manage/see passwords in the advanced settings.

Sorry for all the noise, I'll get back if I figure what it is, just in case someone else should get the same problem.

Happy Holidays to all.

Hello PALDK,

Please, provide detailed steps of how to reproduce the problem and I will re-test it.
Example:
Launch Chrome Sandboxed
Go to Chrome settings X
Click on X
Do X
X happens

Also, please test it while you Antivirus protection is disabled to see if that makes any difference.

Regards,
Barb.-

Hi Barb.
Sandboxie is installed, Sandboxie is set to force Chrome into sandboxed, I go to advanced settings click "manage passwords" and click on the eye next to one of the logins/passwords.

It's the same with or without antivirus.

Do not waste to much time on this, I'm positive, it's not Sandboxies fault, something has change with the latest update from Windows (something broke with the last big update), I have tried to roll back everything (except Win10) to see what it could be.

This is the only think I've noticed gone wrong, so I'll wait with a clean install of win10, because everything else is running just fine.

Thank you for your answers, it's appreciated, hope you get a great new year.

Has anyone had a chance to test Sandboxie with the Microsoft out-of-band security updates to address the Intel bug?

Works flawless on an updated Windows 10 (1709, 64-bit)! But Windows 7 seems to be broken: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=25290.
