I believe I asked this many years ago, but thought, what the heck; why not try again. Or, has anyone been able to get SBIE to work via WINE? :)

Thanks for the reply and links, Barbara. Looks like you even found the thread that I started a while back. lol

Oh well; will milk WinXP for as long as I can before I decide to finally bite the bullet and install Sandboxie in Win10 (never use Win10 for browsing except where I have no choice for a few tools that I use; only play in my OS sandbox (WinXP VM) and run SBIE in it thus I'm double-sandboxed (yes; maybe a bit much but it's protected me since 2009 and has saved my bacon a few times). :)

Linux Mint and Ubuntu has other types of sandboxing available, I'd be willing to say that since they use kernel features they are more secure than Sandboxie

Firejail<-- Uses seccomp
Flatpak <-- Programs installed with Flatpak har automatically isolated from other programs using SELinux
Snaps <-- Ubuntu 18.04, released in April of 2018, will run most programs using Snaps, isolating them from other programs using AppArmor. So hold out for 5 more months and you will be able to use that.

I'm currently running Linux Mint with LibreOffice installed using the Flatpaks and Chrome running in Firejail and I'm more than happy.
