Just to let everyone know. Minecraft won't run in the version 4.02 and 4.04.
Something to do with opengl I think.
Going back to 3.76 gets things working again.

Try the OpenWinClass=* setting if you want to run games under Sandboxie.

I see. In this case I will need more detailed instructions, where to get Minecraft and what to do to see the problem.

Minecraft.exe is the Launcher which updates the game files.
https://minecraft.net/download
https://s3.amazonaws.com/Minecraft.Down ... ecraft.exe

Minecraft Launcher needs JRE, a link shall open in your browser for Java Setup, which I installed also in the Sandbox.

I sent my Minecraft Log In details in privmsg, which upon entering in the Launcher reveals the Play button.

To reproduce the problem:
As I'm not sure what the fullscreen/windowed toggle key is for Minecraft, just hit Esc (in game window) and find the FULLSCREEN option in the rendered GUI. It will crash going fullscreen and, then crash upon every start (itself trying fullscreen). Sbie 3.76 passes no problem.

Thanks, got your PM. I will look into it next week.

I guess I didn't get to this last week, sorry. I looked into, looks like Windows 8 doesn't want to let a low privilege program change the display mode. I think I will be able to fix this in the next beta build I release.

Sandboxie 4.04 and 4.05.01 some DirectX games won't run

The two games i tried are Geometry Wars and Antichamber, both purchased from Steam.

Geometry Wars just sais "Failed creating the Direct3D device."
The Antichamber error message is "Failed to create the D3D9 device. This can happen if the desktop is locked."

Outside of Sandboxie both games run fine.

I already tried the OpenWinClass=* setting but it doesn't make a difference.

Running Windows 8 x64 and Sandboxie 4.04/4.05.01

This is probably another instance of the problem that was reported here:

http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=15970

Programs in the sandbox can't switch to full screen on Windows 8.

This will be fixed in version 4.05.02.

Please check version 4.05.02.

Happy with [Minecraft], real happy with [WorldOfGoo]. Thanks! :D

DOSBox goes fullscreen, returning from fullscreen though I will note that the window size is almost iconified (not so with 3.76) but easily remedied with a minimize and restore.
