Hello all,

Does the issue occur in a new sandbox with default settings? (with and without the Acrobat template, as suggested above) ?
Do the pdf files open in IE outside Sandboxie?

I have re-tested using Windows 10 x64 CU//Win 7 x64 + this link https://cdn.vizio.com/documents/e32d1/um-e32d1.pdf + Internet Explorer and did not encounter any issues.

See if your Antivirus software has any specific features that modify Internet Explorer.
As for the other link, it's a search of the forum bringing up 29 results for Kaspersky ...
It should be a direct link to a specific set of steps provided by Syrinx, followed by a user's setup of Kaspersky + SBIE, try this:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=21539&p=129509&hil ... ky#p129509
According to the second user IE just won't work with Kaspersky. So I am wondering if this is just pdfs or anything else you try to do via IE.

Regards,
Barb.-

Thanks for following up. To answer your first question, yes I have tried all the PDFs in the default boxes plus in and outside Sandboxie (also toggling the Acrobat profile on/off). Nothing changes when I do that.

I even disabled the Kasperskey protection within Internet Explorer hoping that would effect something, but it didn't. I can't fully turn Kaspersky off at start up (since it's protecting itself due to it being a security program), so I guess I'll have to figure out a way to make it work. I did add the "ClosedFilePath=*klsihk*.dll" to the resource access menu in Sandboxie, per the instructions in the link above. But alas, no effect.

So back to the drawing board, anything else I can check?

hmm, If you added it via the GUI at Sandboxie Settings > Resource Access > File Access > Blocked Access you'd only want to add

Code: Select all

*klsihk*.dll
as the other part is the rule as it should exist in the Sandboxie.ini after being added (or adding it to the ini manually)

I should have been more clear. I added both of them to the blocked access the first time. But just to be safe, I removed the other and tried it again just now (to no avail).

Thoughts?

Hello Loc364,

I am still unable to repro the issue on Win 7 x64. However, I did see something similar in Windows 10 + Adobe Reader 9 + IE, while testing something for another user.

Is the browser/pdf crashing or you are just receiving multiple SBIE2203 messages? If it is just the messages, try hiding them and see if that helps:
