I've been using Sandboxie for a few weeks now and really like it. I let it start with Windows and as a habit always run my browser, Instant Messenger, Winamp, WMP, etc. through it.
I've been pushing it at another forum I frequent but there hasn't seemed to be much interest in the program. The people there for the most part aren't too tech savvy and I doubt many of them even know what a sandbox is, though I have explained the concept.
Recently a poster said her daughters machine had become infected with the Trojan horse Downloader.Generic4.DEM. Granted, if she's the type of person who will click an email attachment she probably wouldn't use Sandboxie anyway, but am I correct in my thinking that if she had opened her email reader through the program that the infection would have been restricted to the sandbox and the problem solved by simply deleting/erasing the sandbox? I want to be sure of what I'm saying before I tell them so.
Thanks for such a great program, it's the best security tool I've come across in years. Keep up the good work.

yep thats correct, so if she opens an email thats infected, it will just land in the sandbox and do no harm, btw glad you like the program, later.but am I correct in my thinking that if she had opened her email reader through the program that the infection would have been restricted to the sandbox and the problem solved by simply deleting/erasing the sandbox?
