I just uninstalled and reinstalled Silverlight 64 bit and same problem. I'll keep investigating.

When I uninstall Microsoft Silverlight, I can still run Netflix video in a regular IE window. When I run Sandboxie, it stops and tells me I need to install the Silverlight plugin in order to play a video. If I install the latest Silverlight (5) and run Netflix in Sandboxie then I get the DRM error. So something is built into Windows 8.1 that handles Silverlight requests but Netflix in Sandboxie doesn't recognize it.

Does this seem like it might explain the issue? http://www.extremetech.com/computing/15 ... amatically

That would definitely explain how my IE Version 11 is running Netflix without Silverlight being installed. It's interesting that Netflix says there is a Silverlight DRM error when I run in Sandboxie but I'm guessing they probably haven't updated their error messages and help pages to include HTML5 issues. So likely Netflix detects IE version 11 and tries to use HTML5 delivery and something doesn't have privilege while running in Sandboxie and it defers to the default Silverlight error response.

Thanks for the investigation!

We will investigate why netflix does not automatically use HTLM5 under Sbie.

This is the case with me too, I found the solution from somewhere in Netflix support. I has something to do with Silverlight getting a permission for DRM before your device can play the videos. For some reason it can't happen when the browser is sandboxed.

Thanks! And I'm happy to try out any beta-esk code or changes to my computer/sandboxie settings to see if it solves the problem.

Thanks again.

IE 11 HTML5 in Netflix still not working under Sandboxie.
