Hello, sandboxie team. There seems to be some pop up problem you get with you try copy an URL at sandboxie browser, which has never happened before or should be any problem if copying URL or any text(like food recipe etc.) and paste it to clipboard outside sandboxie, so why is it happening now? Any solution to this?
The pop up message you get is: "SBIE2205 Service not implemented: CloseClipboard C0000058"
You can reproduce it yourself. Have new clipboard outside sandboxie. All windows is updated + sandboxie (any)browser, open it and copy any text/url inside and pop up will come.
My question concern is: Is this somekind of security flag? That something is might be leaked outside sandboxie? Can still copy the URL/text and put it in notepad outside sandboxie with no problem just like before. But now there is pop up from sandboxie message. All sandboxie still use default settings as well.
Since it does happen to any PC/Laptop i try. Be it win 7 32/64 or win 8 32/64. Since it seems to also happen now after windows update and some people i know still using 4.16 version and didnt have this problem or pop up before, so there must be reason that microsoft made this update for some security related content that sandboxie not able protect or contain?
Using your latest Sandboxie 4.20 version. Could be on sandboxies side and or also with related windows updates now 1-2months back. You need to investigare it yourself and please update an answer here.

Hello, Bo.
Yes, it seems to be working again now at 4.20 version. Just needed to uninstall and reinstall sandboxie. But to more matter onto this question was. Was there some security leakes when people used previous version(not 4.20) of sandboxie after microsoft released that KB update(which seemed to be relaited with kernel stuff security?). Just an open disclosure that we have right to know as users. Because some people who arent updating to 4.20 have stayed to other version like 4.16 or 3.70 versions+ Reason? Because they felt more stability and without any problem with those version. Seeing that you can also download previous version of sandboxie...then shouldnt be any suprise? My question still remains unanswered.
Are those people who arent using your up to date 4.20 still running any security leaks efter some microsoft update? This is really what you need to look into even on other versions. If somethings shifts from microsoft side(which probably huge % of whole world using the OS) you need to look into it. Specially now that alot fo update from win 10 might appear(but this is other stuff).

Hi Tanaka. I don't believe this Copy fix had anything to do with security. But a Windows update breaking the sandboxed copy function. And the Sandboxie fix, fixing it so it would work again under SBIE.,

The clipboard issue wasn't a security issue. As for Win10, is a totally different animal we are learning, particularly on the Metro side and the inner workings thereof. The Devs are keeping busy for sure.Tanaka Lee wrote:Hello, Bo.

SBIE2205 Message returned after 7-14-15 patch install
Win7Pro on AMD3800 APU w/SBxIE 4.16 - I'll wait for v14.9.2+ or v15 for next update.
After uninstall of KB3057839 on 6-10 the 2205 error msg ceased. After latest patch Tues 7-14 msg2205 resumed. Is this some kind of leap-frog w/ MS patches? Which KB# is at fault now? I have searched installed updates and cannot find KB3057839 as if they may have sneaked it into the latest regime. Is it -7839 reincarnated with a new number, a revised version of the previous patch? I have seen this phenom in the past (repaired revised patches with dual KB#s), from MS as well. Oddly, my clipboard cut paste has continued working all the while but merely generated the pop-up msg. Thanks devs for your good works. I know chasing these annoyances is a pain, but SBxIE is my strongest line of defense.

Hi cram66, if you upgrade Sandboxie to stable 4.20 or latest beta 5.01.2, you can install KB3057839 and forget about the SBIE 2205 message for good.
