Chrome will not launch

[Android1911]

When I try to run Chrome in the sandbox, I get the following error message and Chrome not run:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000034).
Click OK to close the application."

Any idea of how to fix this? I'm running Chrome 36.0.1985.143 and Windows 7 32-bit.
