Sandboxie Support

Hi,

I updated my Google Chrome Browser this morning 25/1/2018 to version 64.0.3282 and it will no longer connect to the internet while inside Sandboxie version 5.22?

Everything was fine until this morning and this Chrome Update.

All of my other Browsers Opera, Vivaldi, Firefox and even IE 11 all work in Sandboxie.

Anybody else having this problem.

I might try finding and installing an earlier version of Google Chrome to see if that fixes the issue?

I'm having the exact same problem with the latest google chrome update. Sandboxie works fine with IE. I don't use any other browsers. How do I go back to the previous version of chrome?

Been a paying customer for some years now and a free user for much longer, and am having the same problem with the same Chrome build (Version 64.0.3282.119 (Official Build) (64-bit)); on Windows 8.1 Pro x64 with SBIE 5.22; no problem before and no problem outside of the sandbox, of course. Tried in a clean sandbox with all data deleted, and installed Chrome outside the sandbox. This was especially annoying since I am simultaneously experiencing the Firefox no audio and video playback bugs, and so both my browsers are knocked out. Needless to say, very annoying, and nontrivial to downgrade Chrome particularly as it requires a full delete with many minutes to get everything set up again. Thanks.

Chrome is failing to work with Sandboxie since the latest update on my Win 10 x64 machine. However it IS working as normal with the same version of Chrome on my Win 7 x64 machine. Both received the latest Chrome updates this afternoon to 64.0.3282.119.

On my Win 10 machine I cannot load any webpage or even anything from the menu (like settings) without getting the same message on Chrome that another person wrote above :

"Aw, Snap!
Something went wrong while displaying this webpage."

If it helps I have identical software set ups on both machines (including Chrome extensions), and both are fully patched with all the latest Windows updates. The only difference is the actual OS (Win 7 vs Win 10). I am using avast free and MBAM Pro. OH hang on a tick!! Just remembered, there is a difference in sandboxie version! The working version on Win 7 is 5.23.3 and my Win 10 machine it's still 5.22. Is anyone on 5.23.3 and having this Chrome issue?

I updated to Chrome 64.0.3282.119 and also updated all "Components" (chrome://components/).

When using Sandboxie's template to force Chrome to run sandboxed it works OK here, with Sandboxie 5.23.3 on 64-bit Windows 10.
I have seen a couple of times a message flash on the screen - something about a network change.

I have only these extensions Enabled:
LastPass
Logitech Smooth Scrolling
Tabs to the Front

Same error after chrome update.

Google Chrome 64.0.3282.119 64bit Portable is working well in Sandboxie here. Win. 7 64bit

Hi Barb,

I installed the latest beta from the link you provided and that has fixed my issue with the latest Google Chrome and Sandboxie.

Google Chrome: 64.0.3282.119 and Sandboxie: 5.23.3. on a Win 10 System

Thanks Barb. Latest beta solves the issue 100%.

Hi,

I updated Chrome to Version 64.0.3282.119 yesterday and since then Chrome does not have

access to the internet when Sanboxed. I have no problems with Firefox, only Chrome.

Is there a workaround for this problem?

Sandboxie: 5.22

Updated to Sandboxie beta 5.23 and Chrome now works.

Had the same "Aw, Snap" message after updating Chrome browser. I've applied the Sandboxie beta 5.23 and it all seems to work again now
