5.14 Released
Re: 5.13 Beta Available (latest version 5.13.3)
I keep having crashes on some (rare) websites with Chrome in a sandbox. Here's an example : http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitl ... lephant-en
Everytime I try to open this url, Chrome instantly crash. However, it works fine in Firefox. Am I the only one having this problem, or is it happening for somebody else?

Delete the contents of your sandbox.
Create a new sandbox.
Run chrome with extensions/add ons disabled.
Hows does that URL react outside the SB in Chrome?

Re: 5.13 Beta Available (latest version 5.13.3)
It works fine outside the Sandbox. As you suggested, I created a new sandbox with default settings, tried to disable my extensions one by one, and I found the culprit : it's the ad blocker. I was using AdGuard, so I switched to uBlock Origin to see if the problem was still present, and the answer is yes. Whenever I use an Ad blocker, it crash on some website.
Can someone reproduce this bug?

This will be fixed in 5.13.4 barring any other issues with the snapshot.

Wow, that's what I call reactivity. Can't wait for the next update, this bug aside, my experience with Google Chrome under a Sandbox have been flawless for many months. This will be fixed in 5.13.4 barring any other issues with the snapshot.

actually, the snapshot reference was for Vivaldi snap shots, not for your particular issue. We can't repro that issue, it's working for us and I'm not getting any crashing using Chrome when visiting that link. using SBIE 5.13.3
So it could be an extension, delete the contents of your sb, etc. But at the moment, Version 52.0.2743.82 m (64-bit) renders those pages just fine in SBIE with no issues.

And are you installing Chrome directly into the sandbox? Or is it installed on your REAL system and you're running Chrome sandboxed from there?RT2 wrote:I'm using Windows 10 64 bits with Google Chrome 52.0.2743.82 32bits.

Re: 5.13 Beta Available (latest version 5.13.3)
Problem: When I click a link in Thunderbird, Firefox and other browsers do not open when Sandboxed. Not sandboxed, everything works perfectly.
I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 (both 64bit). I uninstalled Sandboxie and re-installed it. Thunderbird and Firefox are my default programs to use. I never had a problem opening links in Thunderbird before until I upgraded to Windows 10 and use Sandboxie. Like I said before, everything works perfectly not sandboxed. Any ideas what I need to change in Sandboxie?

Re: 5.13 Beta Available (latest version 5.13.3)
When you upgraded to Windows 10, MS made Edge your default browser. Edge does not work with SBIE.
You need to set your default browser in Windows to something other than Edge. You then need to set tbird to use a browser of your choice, otherwise, it will use the default.
This is typical Windows behavior and not related to SBIE.

Re: 5.13 Beta Available (latest version 5.13.3)
After more investigations, I found the solution to my problem. When I tried to create a new sandbox, I didn't pay enough attention and copied the settings of another one (my bad). With a fresh new sandbox, it worked fine. Then I went to the configuration file and played with every settings, and I found that adding "Template=qWave" to the sandbox I use for browsing with Google Chrome solved the crashes.
My sandbox was just outdated, and now I know it is better to check the settings of a default sandbox from time to time in order to add the new ones to my old sandboxes.

Ok, great.
Yes, this has been in past betas and it's baked into 5.12."Template=qWave" to the sandbox I use for browsing with Google Chrome solved the crashes
Re: 5.13 Beta Available (latest version 5.13.3)
If Thunderbird is not running sandboxed when it runs, you need to configure it to run sandboxed in Sandbox settings>Applications>E mail Reader. If it does run sandboxed, then perhaps you need to make Firefox your default browser. I think its possible the upgrade to W10 disconfigured things.djkilla wrote:Problem: When I click a link in Thunderbird, Firefox and other browsers do not open when Sandboxed. FF sometimes does not start on Anniversary Update. The browser can also freeze or crash

Sounds like an issue for Mozilla. I know they are reporting issues in their threads. I have not seen that on v48 32/64 bit.Dun wrote:FF sometimes does not start on Anniversary Update. The browser can also freeze or crash
