I am stupid when it comes to this....just a warning.
I have not been able sandbox firefox in the last week.
It keeps telling me i have another instance of firefox running and my profile is in use.
I have tried multiple versions of each. Have installed and reinstalled both.
Currently using ver. 3.76 of sandboxie....newest version of firefox.
I haven't seen any issues like this on this forum.
Thanks for any help you can give.
profile in use error
If unsandboxed Firefox works OK:
- Exit Firefox.
- Use Delete Contents for the sandbox you will be using.
- Start sandboxed Firefox.
Does it still give you that message when you run it sandboxed (and it is not also running unsandboxed, at the time)?

- Exit Firefox, if it's running.
- Right-click the Sandboxie Control tray icon, hover the mouse over DefaultBox, then click on Delete Contents.
- Start sandboxed Firefox.

If that helps, and you have Firefox configured to save items out of the sandbox, such as bookmarks at:
Sandbox Settings > Applications > Web Browser > Firefox
then you may want to select to automatically delete the sandbox contents when all programs using it are exited.
Sandbox Settings > Delete > Delete Invocation
- Right-click the Sandboxie Control tray icon, hover the mouse over DefaultBox, then click on Delete Contents.
- Start sandboxed Firefox.
