What program are you attempting to install? Not all programs can be installed in a SB. Remember, SBIE is not a VM environment and some programs may simply not like being inside a sandboxed. If a driver needs to be installed, then it surely won't install.

I try to attempting adobe acrobat reader.

I just try to install Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it stopped at "services are stopped" and "print spooler". So maybe sandboxie cant stopp that windows services like these...?

It's best to install programs like that on your host, then run them "as sandboxed."
Re: SBIE2205 trutedinstaller c0190008
I have seen the same error when installing vcredist-2008 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=26368) inside a sandbox on Win10-x64/SBIE-5.04 without AV. It's reprodicible on a couple of machines of similar setups. Sometimes it's desirable to have the vcredist in a sandbox instead of "polluting" the system with many versions. Hope the info helps.Craig@Invincea wrote:It's best to install programs like that on your host, then run them "as sandboxed."

Updates such as this should not be installed within a SB. Especially if it needs to write to the "windows" registry. As that cannot happen. If Security updates such as this are needed, they should be installed on your host machine.

Craig, thanks for your quick response. However vcredist is not a security update but a library for supportting apps using VC.Often an app already includes a vcredist in the package, isn't it important to be able to confine such vcredist within a sandbox in case it has been tempered? Besides isn't sandboxing the registry an essential aspect of Sandboxie?Craig@Invincea wrote:Updates such as this should not be installed within a SB.
