Open with -> setting sandboxed program as default

Post by Pete695 » Sun Oct 21, 2012 11:55 am

Hi,
I bought Sandboxie a couple of days ago. It is a great program!

Now I installed a program in Sandboxie. As an example: Opera (but I mean any program).
Now I would like to know if it is possible to tell all .htm, .html, .jpg whatsoever -files, to automatically open with the program that is in the sandbox.
Because the program got installed in a sandbox, Windows does not know the program. So I cannot assign certain files with the "Open with" dialogue to this specific program.

I hope you could understand what I mean.
Thank you

If .html files are associated to, let´s say, FireFox, and FireFox is a forced program then you will get the behavior you want.

But Windows would have to know that Firefox is installed to associate it to it... In this case Firefox would be installed in a Sandbox.

Try associating it to the FIREFOX.EXE installed in the sandbox folder.

I already tried it. It doesn't work. Trying to associate it to a shortcut has the same result.

Now it works for some reason... I have no idea what I did wrong before : )
