After installing firefox 4 RC1 sandboxie does not start
After installing firefox 4 RC1 sandboxie does not work well. Sometimes it starts and sometimes not. When it works starts with a delay. I tried and the stable version and the latest beta with the same results. My OS is windows 7 x64.
Anyone with the same problem ?

Hmm, why would Firefox 4 RC interfere with Sandboxie's performance? Do you mean Firefox 4 RC 1 doesn't operate well in Sandboxie, that'd make more sense.
But yeah, I haven't tried installing it unsandboxed yet since I don't want it interfering with my stable Firefox v3.6.x but I installed Fx 4 RC1 inside Sandboxie v3.53.06 and haven't noticed any problems with it on Windows 7 x64 myself.![Shocked ](images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

I tried again. Firefox 3,16 works ok under sandboxie. The same internet explorer. Maybe it's a problem of FF RC.

When Firefox 4 does load sandboxed, can you check your Extensions tab in the Add-ons Manager to see if all your extensions are working?John7 wrote:Sometimes it starts and sometimes not. When it works starts with a delay.
I remember that when my Firefox 4 kept nuking Adblock Plus in the sandbox, it would take a while to start.
Hmm, ok. Just tried this really quick with a default sandbox and 3.53.07. Firefox RC1 doesn't start at all for me when installed sandboxed on Windows 7 x64 - I can't even run a firefox -P to create a new profile:
On Windows 7 x86, there's no problem. Like SnD, I haven't tried installing FF unsandboxed.WerFault.exe wrote:Firefox has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program.

Yep, same problem for me. I have FF4 RC1 installed outside the sandbox. It's been running in 3.53.06 for quite some time without issue. I updated to .07, totally wiped all the sandboxes, and now it won't start at all. In Sandboxie Control I can see firefox.exe start, but RpcSs and DcomLaunch don't even attempt to start. Also, nothing shows up in the Resource Access Monitor... I mean nothing at all.
Followup:
I dropped back to .06 and all is right in the world.

Yeah, I didn't test it extensively, but when I tried reproducing this earlier I was running v3.53.06 and the few times I launched Fx4 I didn't notice any issues either, thats why I originally thought there was no issue with Fx4 RC1 in x64 Sandboxie.wraithdu wrote:It's been running in 3.53.06 for quite some time without issue.
Reading these posts, it's obvious this problem is exclusive to v3.53.07 only.

BTW, just to clarify, in case it matters (since I didn't mention this beforehand), I am running Windows 7 x64 with SP1.
I didn't install SP1, instead I used the official "Windows 7 with SP1" image from MSDN and installed fresh (about a week ago).
