immediate recovery folder list

Post by lasavior » Tue Nov 02, 2010 7:36 pm

I've searched on the forums but cant come up with anyone specifically mentioning this. The request is simple. Ability to turn off quick recovery (where it asks you to recover any files when deleting the sandbox), but keep immediate recovery on. I like the option of selectively recovering my downloaded files, but hate being asked again when i go to delete the sandbox.

the reason is this. among the great reasons to use sandboxie, one sneaky way i use it is at work. it not only keeps the computer safe, but also free of browsing history. the other caveat is using it in conjunction with Autohotkey. Means i can have the ultimate boss-key. browser force quits, deletes all my history, yada yada yada. however if i downlaod a file without recovering it, the stupid recovery window will pop-up. no bueno.

So again, its useful to have immediate recovery, but i dont want to be asked to recover files when deleting the sandbox. better yet, ability to have a folder list for immediate recovery parallel to the quick recover

There are quite a few feature/change requests for the quick/immediate recovery modes and I do plan some extensive overhaul there at some point. When I get to it, I will keep in mind what you suggest here.

Until then, you can add your download folder in Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > File Access > Full Access.

This will completely bypass the recovery mechanism and put files directly in your download folder outside the sandbox.

Then you can remove all folders from quick/immediate recovery and not be bothered by it.
