Can't drag links between IE windows
I can't drag links between Sandbox IE windows, let alone between a regular IE window and a Sandboxie IE window (if it's vice versa, it shuts down the regular IE!).
I use IE v6 (XP SP2).

For me, dragging and dropping a link between 2 IE windows in the same sandbox works - but only if I drop the link in the main part of the other window, not in the address box. If I try to drop the link inside of the address box of the other window, it isn't allowed.
I hope I explained that OK.

XP Pro SP3
This is what happens to me when I try to drag a link from the sandboxed IE6 address bar to the OpenPipePath desktop. I can copy the address bar contents to the clipboard and paste the address into the create shortcut wizard to create a shortcut on the desktop. A little extra work but wondered if it is by design?lwc wrote:As soon as I take the link anywhere out of the current IE (v6) window, the mouse icon changes into the "not possible" icon.
same sandbox - but doesn't drag and drop
I also get the problem - can't drag a link from a browser window, which led me to this ageing thread. Has any more research gone into this ?
To be absolutely clear : I try to drag and drop a link between two windows inside one and the same sandbox. But I can't drag, drop even less : as soon as I "seize" the link and start "moving" it, the mouse pointer reverts from a hand to an arrow, significating the operation is impossible or cancelled
Only IE is concerned. Drag&drop in Firefox is OK both between tabs in one and the same window, and between separate sandboxied windows.
Others having the same problem ?
Since it's working for Tzuk and, I'm sure, a few others, could there be something platform dependant getting in the way of proper d&d operation ? I'm on windows 2000 SP4.
Keep keeping on.
P.S. I will gladly debug and send results if so instructed.

Maybe it's platform dependent, as you say. (I'm using XP and Firefox)
If there's a link in the window of one of my tabs, that I want to open in another (existing) tab, I can drag and drop that link onto the other tab, to open the link there.
I can drag and drop a link from the address bar onto any of the tabs.
I can click on one of the tabs, and drag and drop the link into the body of the tab window that is currently showing.
Trying to drag a link onto the Desktop is not allowed, but it no longer causes a crash as it used to - for me.

I'm awfully sorry, I made a mistake in my report - corrected now :Guest10 wrote:Maybe it's platform dependent, as you say. (I'm using XP and Firefox)

I've got the problem with MS internet explorer only, not FF ! IOW, drag and drop is working for me, like it is for you, between tabs and also between different windows.
I can't drag and drop from an MS IE 6 window.
Cheers
