Excel files and Sandboxie

Just recently I had a user from another forum send me some information. After I had downloaded the files to my machine, I notice that they were in Excel file format. If I open Excel in Sandboxie then open one of the excel files will the file be contained and my PC be safe if anything malicious tries to run. I normally never open attachments from people I do not know but I really need this information.

If Excel opens sandboxed, then any malicious scripts in the .xls file will also be executed sandboxed. So make sure you see the [#] sign for Excel.
