There are times where I would like to temporarily suspend the application of a Sandbox to make permanent adjustments to the application configuration. For example, if I have a Sandbox for Excel that forces Excel to sandbox (to avoid problems with malicious workbooks) and want to permanently change a setting (i.e. alter macro security settings), I have one of two options (of which I am aware):
- go into the configuration of the Sandbox and de-list the excel application from the forced program listing, run the program to make the change, then re-edit the sandbox configuration or
make a chage while sandboxed and search through the modified configuration files to restore the appropriate file (cannot do with registry keys)
Thanks for the great product!
