Hello all,
I just wanted to drop a note saying how happy I am with this product. I understand that Sandboxie is not a 100% security program, and may even be more of a privacy program. I just like the fact that now I and not Bill Gates own my index.dat files. Since the Windows95 days, I have never understood why those files were sooooooo "protected".

Where I have found Sandboxie of particular help is with the HOST file. I feel I no longer need one. I had always used MVPS added to Spybots HOST file addition, but found that just too much was being blocked. Like the videos on foxnews.com would not play. Also with WindowsXP, I had to disable the DNS server, which I was never really clear on that being a good thing or not. Now I can simply disable flash and see the web pages as they were designed.

I use any program I can find with immune functions for security like Spyware Blaster, Spybot, and Advanced Windows Care. Then a good "real timer" like Spyware Terminator for overall protection. A hardware firewall and safe browsing habits and I am good to go.

That is........now that I have SANDBOXIE!

I spent the $20.00 and got it registered, formatted and reinstalled windows and "forced" IE through Sandboxie. My registry hasn't changed in a week.

I agree, Sandboxie is first rate. It's like using a disposable placemat or tablecloth when you eat dinner -- if you spill anything, it keeps the table clean, and intead of trying to scrub it later you just throw it away!
