Protection of Personal Infomation

Post by EviLHeLLLivE » Fri May 25, 2007 11:36 am

Hi Guys,

I recently came across sandboxie while reading about ways to secure my pc.

According to the info written in this review (http://www.techsupportalert.com/securit ... zation.htm), sandboxie was rated to have passed all but the "personal data" test.

I was wondering if the review is true & whether it has been fixed?

Out of curiosity, I decided to test for myself since the review was based on an older 2.6x version.

I was able to access the txt file I created on my desktop & delete it, although the deletion was limited to the copy with sandboxie itself. So what does this result actually indicate?

Sorry if I sound very newbie, still learning my stuff :D

Your questions are addressed and answered here.. in the faq.. http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?Freq ... ns#HowSafe.

Peruse the section, "How Safe am I, Technically". And read-up on "closed file paths" in that same section.
