Stop Fingerprinting

Post by tetwan » Wed Jul 23, 2014 10:10 am

Hi,

I´m using Sanboxie for years and specially for surfing and get rid of all cookies.

Now there is so many new technique to track someone, so I´m a little bit worried. :)

Is it possible, that Sandboxie can support in the future some methods, so canvas fingerprinting or evercookies wouldn´t work anymore?

If this suggest is stupid, because it will never work - don´t beat me please :) If there is a possibility to - I think, it would be fine.

Greetings and best wishes

tetwan

PS: My English is not the best, I know

Sandboxie already handles Evercookies. When you delete your sandbox, the cookies are gone. Canvas fingerprinting does not store anything on your computer. It uses your GPU to generate a "fingerprint" that may or may not be able to uniquely identify you. There are several browser add-ons that will block this.
