deleting sandbox contents

Post by curiousmind » Wed Jan 05, 2005 4:52 pm

ok, I surfed, probed around, visted some adult sites, and then downloaded some music. I want to keep the music. How do I control which changes or files are deleted from the sandbox, and which ones I want to keep? Right now, with what I know, if I empty the sandbox, I lose everything.

You need to rescue the music files manually. You need to type
%APPDATA%
in the regular folder explorer, this will take you to a data folder for applications.

Navigate into Sandbox\DefaultBox\Device\HarddiskVolume... and you will be at the sandboxed root directory. When you find your music files, cut-and-paste them to a better location.

Then you can delete the sandbox. I know this is a little messy, and one day it will be better.
