The "parameter is incorrect" dialog only happens the 1st time you click on "Program Groups". This is coming from the new MS libraries -- there is some particular case where it is rejecting something that the old libraries would allow. I will track it down.
Also, some of the languages appear to come and go. We're tracking this down as well.

During installation I get a virus-message by AVAST. See Attachment.

Please do not install 4.09.5 until I notify everyone that these issues are fixed.
Moving up 10 years worth of compiler/library updates all at once is bound to cause a few problems. Thank you for being beta testers!

@TomGen
This is EvoGen detection by Avast and a false positive.

Ok, Beta 4.09.5 is again open for business. I fixed the foreign languages and the "parameter is incorrect" problems mentioned above. Please resume beta testing.

Re: beta 4.09.05 (32-bit version on XP).
Can this be installed 'over the top' of an older version without the need for a reboot.
Previous versions could be.
Thanks for all the hard work in creating this new version

Soccerfan, you can install this version over the top but I think you should hold on for now. I installed the one released yesterday and the one a little while ago and the error with Program groups is still there. I am gone back to 4.09.02 for now.

The file hash of the 4.09.5 32/64 installer hasn't changed. Looks like someone forgot to upload the revised beta.

Given that minimum supported OS for Sandboxie is XP SP3, why have you decided against using Visual Studio 2013 ?

I installed 4.09.05 again, I am not seeing the Program groups error anymore. Never got to experience the other problem.
