Can you get the program to use a Sandboxie.ini which is in the Sandboxie directory instead of the windows directory?

Please read SandboxieIni in the wiki, towards the end there is a section called Placement which discusses this.

Yes I know, but when I moved it to the install directory it just created a new one in Windows.

Or do you mean it literally must be the path "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie" or it wont work?

SandboxieControl updates the configuration in the file instance from which configured was read.

Did you Reload Configuration right after you moved it, so Sandboxie Control knows to update in the new location?
