Please provide the info I requested above at your best convenience. We are still investigating this issue.
I am setting up different VMs to see if I can repro the behavior, but I need more info to properly set up the environment.

UPDATE:
I can repro this issue on Win 7 x64 without SP1 or any updates.
The issue does not seem to affect up-to-date installations.
This problem seems to be related to the fact that outdated versions of Windows 7 do not have the ability to use SHA 256:

We are still investigating and looking at options to address this. In the meantime, the workarounds would be to update your Windows installation as explained on the link above, or use the beta we posted on a previous response to this thread.
One more question:
Are you all using Clean installs of Win 7, or you have upgraded from Win XP to 7?

I use clean install of Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit (without sp1)
Only installed in Windows update the following:
Update for Windows (KB958488)
Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.256
Windows Defender (Latest update)
I don't use any anti-virus software.

Very strange to see people using "clean" Win 7 installs. That means you are wide open to a lot of publicly known OS vulnerabilities and exploits.

I experienced this issue too when I installed v5.24 earlier today, but found this thread and made a few updates referenced from the Microsoft link above, and now v5.24 installs and works fine. Thanks.

Same here, can't get the new version to launch:

The Sandboxie driver (SbieDrv) is not available to sandbox programs. Make sure both the driver and Sandboxie service (SbieSvc) have started successfully.
Win7, SP1 is not installed.

Ah, ha...
The suggestion of installing 5.23.5 64 Bit worked, no issues.
I have never, in all of the time I've been using Sandboxie for some 5 years now, had any installation issues, not one.
Has been smooth sailing since Day 1...

Today i tried to upgrade Sandboxie but after the upgrade i couldn't start Sandboxie. This is the error i get and i think it is because of unsigned driver that was not installed properly:

But i have Service Pack 1 installed. I have this version: 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601

Sorry, Peter, I dont know what to tell you other than perhaps try reinstalling Sandboxie. Use the installer to uninstall. Also, check as suggested by Barb the signatures of the SbieDrv.sys. Mine look proper in W7. Read this post.

I have Sandboxie 5.24 in my W7, all looks and works good. I started my W7 to see if I could get a clue on what to suggest but the things I checked, like see if I had KB3033929, came out to nothing. I thought if I had KB3033929 and you dont, then perhaps installing it would solve your issue. But I dont have that package (according to search, and I dont have a problem). Check the signatures and reinstall.
