Post by iseeu1001 » Tue May 07, 2013 6:17 pm

1. Why is so expensive. I am not made of money. I would like to buy it but damn $40 for program?
2. What is the difference between free and paid version other then the ads? Is the free version less safe?

On the 1st count.. its not expensive its Free! unless you want all the features enabled

On the 2nd

On a very basic level you get good functionality in the free version and can create more than one sandbox
the main difference there is that you can only access one sandbox at any time where as with the full version you can access all of them.

Price is relative to what you can afford and what you need
If you feel its going to be very useful in its fullest form its not going to be a bother to pay $40 for life time use
if your not seeing it as that much of a big deal for using sandbox then the free version is probably going to suffice.

best advice..
use the free version for as long as you need to.
when the time comes that you feel the need for benefits of the full version then go buy it and you wont feel so bad.

I just recently went all in after just 24hrs
its worth it but only if you feel you will benefit from it.

If having $40 to spend on a program means you're 'made of money' then you're either 9 years old and have no money or you're used to paying nothing for software because you obtain it illegally. Seriously, WTF?

How is a one time cost of $40 expensive? How much do computer games cost? What's your cell phone and internet connection cost each month?

If you buy it, 41 months from now it'll have cost you less than $1/month.

I have Never bought a software that is correct. I don't need to get anything illegal. I don't need any software that I have to actually purchase. For anti virus I use microsoft defender for windows 8, also malwarebytes.
I don't use softwares much I just play games mostly. I have pc games and ps3.

One time cost of $40 is expensive because I will not use it all the time, its not like a tv or computer or game because those give me entertainment which sandboxie does not give me entertainment just a software. I wish it was like $15 other wise I wouldn't have said anything. I don't like paying for stuff that I won't use that much.

In that case you dont realy understand its purpose usefulness
Its more of a toy from your perspective, in which case the free version is what you need to stick to
as it appears its not something you really need at the moment

If you go online every day then you'd be using it every day.

Bought my lifetime license several years ago, but even at $40, it's worth every penny. If you don't use Sandboxie much, then it's best to not use it at all. The big purpose of SBIE is to sandbox applications (but especially web browsers) to protect the OS itself from getting corrupted. If you know how to use SBIE, you would understand this and also more then understand it's power. :)

For the level of security that Sandboxie provides, $40 is a very good price. Its far better than the signature subscription based models that have you spending $40 a year.

I use Sandboxie daily. Its a good investment, although I've noticed some people don't quite "get it" in regards to why its useful.
