File Types Run Sandboxed

Post by Focuscar » Wed Aug 17, 2011 2:54 pm

Hi, personally for me, it would be easier if I could set specific file types to run sandboxed.

For example:

- Any ".pps" (powerpoint slide show) file would run sandboxed by default.
- However if I opened 'MS Powerpoint', it would not be sandboxed.
- Any ".ppt" (powerpoint presentation) would not be sandboxed.

Any thoughts on my needs?

Perhaps you can change the .pps shell > open > command in the registry, inserting the Sandboxie command line so it will run sandboxed when the filetype is invoked directly. I don't see why this wouldn't work, and it would leave the filetype free to be opened manually from within the program (powerpoint) without being sandboxed. I can't help you with the syntax or testing at this time.
