Multi-process Firefox 51-Blank pages [Fixed in SBIE 5.17.6.]
Could you add support for Electrolysis in Firefox?
Re: Multi-process Firefox
I just discovered that there's a conflict between Sandboxie nad Firefox's own sandbox because Electrolysis seems to work fine with security.sandbox.content.level at 0.
Firefox v51.0 loads toolbars and correct address but...
just a pure white empty window. The site doesn't matter. W10 x64, Sdbxie 5016 or 5.17.1 Thank you!
I edit: http://www.ghacks.net/2017/01/23/how-to ... ity-level/
All is now well with "0" setting!

Re: Multi-process Firefox
Hello Nikkki ,
There are multiple threads in the forum regarding Multiprocess and Firefox. We are seeing scenarios in which it doesn't work at all, and others in which it doesn't affect functionality.
http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/sear ... irefox+e10
http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/sear ... ltiprocess
If you can provide more information (check this out: http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=19746 ) that would be helpful.
(SBIE, OS, AV and Firefox versions). Also, please provide more details regarding what is the issue that you are experiencing when using Firefox Sandboxed.
Are you installing the browser inside SBIE? If so, we are aware that some browsers require to disable their own Sandbox or they won't properly work:

Hello ratchet,
Is Firefox installed inside SBIE or on the host?
Please have a look at this thread and let us know if this is the same scenario (but with Firefox):

Re: Multi-process Firefox
Hi Barb,
Windows 8.1 x64, Sandboxie 5.16 x64, Firefox 51.0 x64, no AV, Firefox installed (copied) manually (from a zip file).
Firefox 51.0 (soon to be released) displays blank pages (tabs) when Electrolysis is enabled. Pages are visible when a browser window is resized or when switching tabs, though.
Default security.sandbox.content.level is 1. Switching to 0 (lowering Firefox's sandbox level) fixes the issue.

Re: Multi-process Firefox
Hello Nikkki ,
I can repro the issue in Win 8.1. I am moving this thread to the Problem Reports section so that it is easy to find.
For the time being, resizing windows or turning off electrolysis seems to alleviate the problem.
I was not able to get it to work by setting the sandbox to 0, but by disabling e10.
I have made the devs aware and they will look into it.

Blank Page while printing in FF 51 (x64)
Hi,
Just Updated to FF 50.1 (64) and know this while trying to print it with acrobat it comes totally blank, converting its OK, is this has anything to do with Firefox's new multiprocessor and sandbox level I only briefly read it about it.
Will there be fix coming or is there a way around it now
Thank you
Windows 7 pro SP1 (x64)

Re: Blank Page while printing in FF 51 (x64)
Hello SolarisGrim,
Which version of FF are you using? The title reads 51, the body of your report reads 50 .
Can you please test this and let us know if disabling e10 AND/OR setting the sandbox to 0 works?:
http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=23902
Does it work outside Sbie? Did you clear the cache and emptied the Sandbox after the update?

Barb.-

Re: Blank Page while printing in FF 51 (x64)
Hi Barb.
Sorry for the confusion caused by me not being clear about the version of FF I'm using.
It's the FF 51.0 (64)
It works fine outside SBIE.
The security level was 1 I have changed it to 0 and it works.
I will leave it at 1 and wait for the fix
Thank you

SolarisGrim,
Thank you for clarifying, I am going to merge the topics so that they are easy to find.
Right now, Firefox does not properly work without applying the workaround.

Re: Multi-process Firefox 51 - Blank pages
Same here. Blank pages with FFX 51.0 and e10s/multiprocess enabled.
Disabling multiprocess fixes the rendering issues.
In my humble opinion, working on support for multiprocess and content-sandboxed ("Sandbox level"=1 and above)
Firefox should be top priority now. Multiprocess isn't going away (on the contrary), and the sandboxing levels of FFX
will be increased as development continues.
Firefox & Sandboxie is a tremendously important combination for me, and I believe for many others as well.
So please make these issues priority #1![Smile :)](images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Thanks for your hard work and effort, and all the best

Re: Multi-process Firefox 51 - Blank pages
All,
The devs are aware of the issue and we will be posting an update once a solution is found.
In the meantime, please use the workarounds in order to get Firefox to work inside Sbie.

Windows 10 64 bit/Firefox blank pages
Hey all, so I just recently built a new computer and when I got it first up and running, Firefox and Sandboxie worked perfectly just as it did for me in Windows 7 previously. My go to settings are delete contents when sandbox is close, drops rights enabled and only allow firefox to have internet and startup/run access.
Now when Firefox is run with Sandboxie, I get the blank pages bug where you go to a website and it looks like its loading the page, but then nothing. If you create a new tab and switch back and forth, the page will show up but it doesn't work properly. I searched online and I found a few threads where this has happened to some people. One solution advice was to toggle on and off the Windows 10 accent colors and display settings and it worked for some people and it didn't work for others. It did not work for me.
I've tried mulitple times doing clean installs, tried version 5.14 with the same result. Also tried allowing all programs to have internet and startup/run access, same result. And another thing I noticed when this problem started today, deleting contents once exiting out of Firefox, takes longer than it should. Before it would quickly delete the contents with the Red X in the taskbar icon as that was normal.
And to verify, I did delete the sandbox folder that gets created in the harddrive everytime I did a clean install, also checked the registry and used Ccleaner as well.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
wutsup
