Document modification in sandboxes

Post by agroijawe » Sun Sep 23, 2012 7:40 pm

I use a text editor in a sandbox. When it first creates a file, quick recovery asks me if I want to recover it (I do). But after that, whenever it saves over the file, quick recovery no longer asks me to recover anything. When I used two text editors inside and outside of the sandbox, I ended up with two branches for the same file, which was a pain to merge.

Is there a way to recover file overwrites?

Immediate Recovery only pops up for new files. You can manually select the Quick Recovery command to trigger recovery.

Using quick recovery is moderately inconvenient.

I have to admit, I have occasionally fallen foul of this one, especially when you are new to Sandboxie, changing a file and it not updating the actual file and then adding further changes on another PC etc. etc. It does get messy.
