So, I've been using a new setup and my issue may be something that I changed and just haven't isolated yet but...
I ran Origin, which apparently changed some stuff in the new version (10) and now the games tab is blank (white) and the friends list won't pop up. I had to add a few new processes to the run list just to allow it to load now, GameToken stuff and QT exes but I'm not seeing anything obvious being blocked. [Thankfully I can still launch the games via the notification areas context menu]
Steam shows the game tab and friends list but when I try to browse the store (or any url) inside of steam the page remains blank but it can update games fine.
Both work normally outside of sandboxie.
Has anyone else been seeing something like this with recent versions of Origin or Steam while sandboxed?
Origin & Steam
Re: Origin & Steam
So I have finally eliminated SBIE as the sole issue with the newer 10.x versions of Origin where everything is blank. I haven't isolated exactly what causes it but I now can reproduce it outside of sandboxie as well and 'seems' to involve some mass of global policy and manual removals. If I ever figure out exactly the cause I'll update this again but I can now at least be sure it isn't something I can blame on Sandboxie...doh. Blame me this time, that's what I get for testing with an older OS image (no SBIE) and my latest (with SBIE)!

Re: Origin & Steam
Didn't really figure out the Origin issue but a restore of the OS to a clean state resolved it and it is now working properly once again and the UI finally loads, yay!
As for Steam, this suggestion: http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 54#p125050

did the trick for me on Windows 7 x64 and SBIE 5.16RC...the steamwebhelper is once again loading and I can browse the store again etc.Chromium Embedded Framework uses own sandbox which interfere with sandboxie sandbox, to disable it start steam.exe witch parameter -no-cef-sandbox
Works for me W7 64-bit SB 5.06

Syrinx,
Glad to read you are back in business!
What are the steps to reproduce the Steam browser issue?
Thank you,
Barb.-

Re: Origin & Steam
Not much, simply trying to open the Store section resulted in an empty gray tab with just a hyperlink that never did anything. It remained blank (gray) and the steamwebhelper.exe processes never opened, didn't issue a peep or throw errors, just didn't start and never loaded so it was impossible to browse within the steam app. It wasn't a real problem as I could still do it from my browser but it was an annoyance. Everything else worked, games, game updates, just the internal browser related stuff stopped working for me at some point. I want to say after a steam update but it was like that for months so I'm glad someone figured out a workaround for conveniences sake!
