Internet Download Manager Problems

I am unable to use my download manager (Internet Download Manger v6.21 build 17 32bit) inside the sandbox. When a download is selected only Internet Explorer download manager opens. I am using Sandboxie v4.12(64bit) and Internet Explorer v10 with Windows 8 on an asus g750 laptop. I am able to download through IDM when using Internet Explorer outside of sandboxie. I have uninstalled both Sandboxie and IDM, deleted the ini files several time and reinstalled both with reboot. Is there a solution to this download issue?
