"File Access" is divided to "Direct Access" and "Full Access". "Internet Access". Currently it only has "Direct Access" (without calling it that). It would be great if it had "Full Access" too. That way you could test softwares that go online while not allowing anything else to get connected.

I don't know about SnD's question mark, but I was also going to put a question mark here, simply because the question is phrased in a way that made no sense at all to me.
For instance, what are you talking about Internet Access having Direct Access, like File Access has Direct Access? There is no Direct Access for Internet Access. I think you need to take a closer look at the Sandbox Settings window, then come back and phrase your question in a clearer way.
Thank you.
EDIT. Forget that. I think I understand. You are probably referring to the disclaimer at the bottom of the Internet Access page: ... programs that were installed into this sandbox will never be allowed ...
In this case, simply dedicate a new sandbox to test a new program. Problem solved.

I know, but the question mark is because that is already what Internet Access does, it allows you to set one program to access the internet and not allow any others to access the internet (although now in 3.24 you can allow multiple programs if you want to), so I don't see why there needs to be any revision in the programs Internet Access function...guest wrote:Why a question mark? Just because you want to test (in a sandbox) a program that goes online, doesn't mean you want other programs to go online.
Sorry for stealing your question mark tzuk!I don't know about SnD's question mark, but I was also going to put a question mark here

Since I have no plans to implement such a feature, my advice to you is this: Following installation, move the executable from the sandbox to a corresponding hierarchy outside the sandbox.
For example, if you installed the program Xyzzy into the sandbox, you may have the executable Xyz.exe in the folder (Sandbox)\drive\c\Program Files\Xyzzy\bin. If you create the real C:\Program Files\Xyzzy\bin and move Xyz.exe there, you can use Internet Access settings to guarantee Internet access only for Xyz.exe.

Yes, I meant that you run it sandboxed. Because the executable file will be outside the sandbox folder, you will be able to restrict Internet access only to that file.
Why will I not implement the feature you request? Because I don't think it's useful in a general sense. The Internet access restriction is designed for the typical browsing scenario, when you know exactly which programs you want to allow, and deny everything else.
What you are talking about is limiting Internet access by unknown programs while you are testing them. For that you should use a software firewall, plain and simple. This will offer better monitoring and fine-tuning of Internet access than what Sandboxie will give you.
